Peace Ambassador Program
We leverage our extensive experience in Israel and Palestine to empower young women to create change in New Mexico through our Peace Ambassador Program, a six-month intensive leadership training that teaches compassionate communication, conflict resolution, and other skills to address issues of equity and inclusion.
Teens connect their own experiences with those of other young women in Israel and Palestine, learning about each other’s history, sharing personal stories, and creating joint projects that address inequities, build bridges, and heal the pain caused by interpersonal and inter-group conflict. Trainings convene twice a month, from January–May 2021, and this year will focus on the intersectionality of race, class, and gender in relation to environmental justice. The program culminates in a series of three virtual meetings with Young Leaders in the Middle East.
