Our Work

Peace Ambassador Program

Empowering young leaders in New Mexico

  • Young women ages 15-18 in the Santa Fe region
  • Learn effective communication strategies, compassionate dialogue, conflict resolution
  • Curriculum focuses on issues of equity, inclusion, and bridge-building
  • Collaborate on community-based social justice projects
  • Interact with peers from Israel and Palestine, and uniquely, young women in Gaza.

The 2023 peace ambassadors interviewed young women in the Gaza Girls program about their lives and wrote these compelling stories.

They also created this video about the community celebration, Chalk 4 Peace, that they organized in conjunction with Drawing on Earth, during Camp 2023 in Santa Fe.

This program has had a large impact on my life by educating me about the Israeli and Palestinian conflict. History is important but personal stories are valuable because of the strength they have to touch people’s hearts.
